Donald Glamore Liggett was born 9 October 1918 in Henryetta, Okmulgee, Oklahoma and died 15 November 1958 in Devil's Slide, Cottonwood Canyon, Morgan, Utah. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. His life was too short but, he will always be remembered by his descendants, friends and family.
Don froze to death in the mountains of Utah after bailing out of a disabled C-119 Air Force airplane. He left a widow and 4 children.
He loved to read and to play his saxophone. When found he was reading " A Stillness at Appomattox " by Bruce Catton. He was tearing out the pages as he read them to try to start a fire. He would not burn the pages in the book untill he read the chapter.
Several of his descendants have served in the military, and several are now serving in the military in Iraq and soon in Afghanistan. We are proud of his Legacy and miss him. We will always love you Dad. FDL
