Mr. PR goes to Western Union Sept. 2008

Hi All,I just heard the official word this afternoon that I'll start at Western Union (located near I-25 and Lincoln - for those who know the area) tomorrow - Thursday, Sept. 4. We have an offsite meeting on Thursday and then on Friday I'll be going into the office. These are the worldwide HQ for Western Union. They are almost exactly eight miles directly east of where I live - so a quick and easy commute. Some have asked what I'll be doing there. I'll be working in Communications and mainly working on PR and media stories for the U.S. outbound consumer market. Western Union no longer does telegrams but they are the world's largest money transfer company. They have over 320,000 agents in most all countries throughout the world. It's a wonderful job opportunity and I appreciate the support, prayers, positive energy and encourgement my many friends and family members have provided during this process. I will travel some - possibly up to 25% of the time. Not sure yet where those travels will take me - but I should know more in the coming weeks.
